Rapid Response Robotic Telescope

                    (Longitude: -78o 41.6' ; Latitude: +37o 52.7 ' ; altitude: 1830 feet)

The RRRT is a fully automated 24" RC telescope dedicated to the study of astronomical transient phenomena. Current projects include the photometry and polarimetry of Gamma-ray Bursts optical afterglows, Blazars, Near-Earth Objects, Variable Stars and searches for Supernovae and Extrasolar Planets.

Partners with Norfolk State University on the RRRT operation are the Department of Astronomy at the University of Virginia and the Back Bay Amateur Astronomers.
